Looking for a professional Samsung Frame installation in Castleknock? We recently fitted a 55-inch Samsung Frame Plus for a customer in Castleknock, Dublin 15. It sits flush on the chimney breast on Samsung’s own slim-fit wall mount, and in Art Mode it looks just like a framed painting.
The key to this job was the cabling. The power lead is completely hidden, with no trunking and no loose wires, so the Frame does what it was bought to do: look like art, not a TV.

Samsung Frame Installation in Castleknock: The Job
The customer wanted the Frame above the fireplace, the natural focal point of the room. Here’s what our Samsung Frame installation in Castleknock involved:
- TV: 55-inch Samsung Frame Plus
- Location: chimney breast, Castleknock, Dublin 15
- Mount: Samsung’s factory slim-fit wall mount, supplied with the Frame
- Cabling: single power lead, fully concealed
Why the Samsung Frame Plus Makes Hidden Cabling Easier
Most Samsung Frame models connect to a separate box with a thin media cable that also has to be hidden. The Frame Plus connects wirelessly from its box to the TV, so there’s no media cable at all.
That leaves just one cable to deal with: the power lead. But on a Frame, even one visible cable spoils the look. Hiding it properly is what separates a professional Samsung Frame installation from a quick DIY job.
How We Hid the Power Cable Without Damaging the Chimney Breast
Chimney breasts are often finished with a hard sand-and-cement or concrete face. Chasing straight down through it is slow, messy and risks cracking the finish.
So we planned a different route:
- Angled drilling through the recessed trim. We drilled the power cable through at an angle via the recessed trim. This avoided disturbing the concrete on the face of the chimney breast.
- Chasing the side wall. We then chased the cable into the side wall, out of sight.
- A clean finish. Once filled and finished, there’s not a cable in sight from the front of the room.
The result is a tidy, professional finish, with the Frame sitting flush on the wall like a real piece of art.

Samsung Frame Installation in Castleknock: FAQs
Does the Samsung Frame Plus need a cable to its box?
No. The Frame Plus connects wirelessly from its box to the TV, so the only cable at the TV is the power lead.
Do you have to chase the wall for a Samsung Frame installation?
Not always. It depends on your wall and where the power socket is. We look at the wall first and choose the neatest route, as we did here by drilling through the trim and chasing the side wall instead of the chimney breast face.
Can a Samsung Frame go above a fireplace?
Yes. A chimney breast is one of the most popular spots for a Frame, as it’s usually the focal point of the room. We’ll advise on height and viewing angle before we mount it.
Which mount do you use?
For this job we used Samsung’s factory slim-fit wall mount supplied with the Frame. It holds the TV close to the wall, which is what gives the Frame its picture-frame look.
